Privacy notice
Short, because there is not much to describe. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third party.
What this site collects
Nothing, unless you submit the contact form. There is no analytics package, no tag manager, no advertising or social pixel, and no cookie of any kind. Fonts and images are served from this domain rather than a content delivery network, so simply reading these pages does not report your visit to anyone else.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you and we do not combine them with anything else.
If you use the contact form
The form collects four things: your name, your work email address, an approximate firm size, and a description of what is not working. We also record the time of submission and the two-letter country code our host reports for your connection, which is used to spot automated abuse.
That information is stored on Cloudflare's platform, in the same account that serves this site, and is emailed to ryan@hopperoak.ai so it can be answered. It is stored so that an enquiry cannot be lost if email delivery fails. Stored enquiries are deleted automatically after two years.
It is not added to a mailing list, not loaded into a marketing platform, and not shared, sold, or passed to any third party for their own purposes. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time and we will do it.
If you become a client
Client engagements are governed by the engagement agreement, not by this notice. The commitments that matter are in that agreement: the firm keeps its data and its instance of everything built during the engagement, work runs in tenancies that are structurally separated between firms, and no client material is used to train anything or shared with another client.
Who processes this on our behalf
The site itself loads no third-party resources, so reading these pages involves nobody but us. Three providers process data behind the scenes: Cloudflare hosts the site and stores contact-form submissions, Google Workspace handles our email, and a transactional email provider delivers the notification that a form has been submitted. None of them use your information for their own purposes.
If a scheduling tool is linked from a call to action, following that link takes you to that provider, where their own privacy terms apply to whatever you enter there.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing ryan@hopperoak.ai. Since the usual answer is "one form submission and one email thread," those requests are quick to honour.
Changes
If this notice changes materially, the change will be reflected here. It applies to hopperoak.ai and is published by Hopper Oak Advisory LLC.
